I have to agree with the statement about Obama's photo in non traditional European dress. The implication is entirely different. Clinton knows this and while she may want to toot her horn about wearing different clothing from other cultures~it has the same effect as Bo Derek wearing cornrows and beads.

The limits of governmental power in the constitution have already been broached, calling upon them in opposition to universal health care is just ridiculous. It's not the interests of the state that take precedence over the individual, it's the interest of the individual, namely the lower-class individual who needs health insurance, and both Obama's and Clinton's plan will take this country one-step closer to the socialized medicine it needs.

I understand that Obama studied the Constitution and I wish he were asked to explain his thinking on the oath he would take if he were elected to the presidency.

In particular I wish anyone elected to the presidency or in the race were asked about Article 1 Sections 8 and 9 because they are the sections in which the Founders stated explicitly just what powers were either granted or forbidden to the Congress.

Obama is charming and can inspire with his rhetoric but from what he has said it is clear that he is basically an Altruist. He believes that man is his brother's keeper. He said so! He then said, "But you haven't given enough yet!"

Altruism is commonly understood in its most euphemistic form: It is better to give than to receive. Fundamentally Altruism asserts that human beings are sacrificial animals and that it is justifiable to sacrifice or enslave some for the benefit of others who are in need.

Hillary is also an Altruist and is clearly willing to force, compel, mandate that everyone participate in her favorite government program, universal health, as she considers that the interests of the state take precedence over those of the individual. To Hillary the ends justify the means. She will take an oath to uphold the Constitution which includes the Amendments which ended slavery. Her oath will be meaningless to her because she will fight to get the Congress to pass her legislation which would force or mandate and she will not be asked if she realizes that would be in violation of the Constitutional limits on government power.

Freedom of the individual was the guiding principle of the Founders and it is the guiding principle of Ron Paul and he means it whereas the others will pay lip service to it.

Obama is certainly charismatic, young and of mixed ethnicity. Other than those attributes I don't see him as any different than the rest. America has only one real choice for change...Ron Paul.

It's not just the US Federal Reserve Bank that's the problem.

Ron Paul and his supporters are continuing to spread his message. He has not given up on the USA and neither should anyone else!

Please pass the above information along!

Namaste,

My name is Rama Brooks, and I am a volunteer with the State of Washington's Ron Paul 2008 Campaign Head Quarters here in Seattle, Washington.

I was a temporary PCO at the Bothell 0257 Precinct's Caucus meeting for the Republican Party last Saturday. Each one of us who are part of the Ron Paul Revolution took count of total delegates and which candidate they support. From those numbers, we have came up with a count that shows Ron Paul beating all other Republicans by a 3 to 1 margin.

Ron Paul has won the State of Washington! Spokane County which has the city of Spoakne (the 3rd largest city in Washington State) has declared Ron Paul as having 60% of the delegates/vote.

Ron Paul has campaigned in person more times in the Seattle area than ALL Republican and Democrat candidates combined.

Ron Paul has won the 20 delegates from the State of Washington's Caucus. We are eagerly looking forward to the primary on Feb 19th to win the remaining 20 delegates.

I totally agree with Ron Paul’s policy of non-intervention and that American troops should come home asap. But now that the US has gone to war with Iraq, and now that Afghanistan is a mess, isn’t there some obligation on the US govt. to ensure that they leave the region in a state of relative stability. What about the poor Iraqi and Afghani citizens who are suffering? I do realize that its not fair to put the onus on American taxpayers who didn’t want the war in the first place, but who will innocent Afghani and Iraqi civilians turn to. Its not fair to just leave them in a state of deprivation because of a war that was imposed on them by the US. I don’t want US troops to have to suffer in Iraq for 100 more years like Mccain says, but I don’t want the Iraqis and Afghanis to suffer any more either. And I really can’t find anything in Ron Paul’s writings that address the fate of Iraqi and Afghani civilians. Can someone please enlighten me here.

This is a question that was posted by a Ron Paul supporter, Brad Sigl, on this site http://people.ronpaul2008.com/campaign-updates/2008/02/07/the-baltimore-sun-on-ron-pauls-cpac-speech/, and I agree with him that its important that Ron Paul clarify his position because he’d be able to get much more support from people who, at the moment, aren’t really sure how he is going to implement his Iraq plan if elected:

" I have been a Ron Paul supporter from day one. And from day one, I have been concerned with Dr. Paul’s response when asked what his position on Iraq is? Dr. Paul has a standard response: “It was a mistake for us to have gone into that illegal and unconstitutional war, and we should just get out. We need to bring our troops home immediately.”…and that’s as far as he goes. Although everybody in the Paul camp agrees with the idea of getting out of Iraq as fast as we can, there is still a very ‘uneasy’ feeling that one gets when he seems to leave his response “hanging without a real plan for getting out”. Time and time again, I have watched people’s reactions when Dr. Paul has made his “it was a mistake to go in, so we should just get out” statement, and the most common reaction I see is…a blank look of bewilderment comes over their faces, and the usual reaction is usually along the lines of; “If he (Dr. Paul) thinks that we can just immediately drop everything where it stands, and get on the first flight out of Iraq…HE’S CRAZY!!!” In my opinion, this one issue has become Dr. Paul’s “Achille’s Heel”, and is the main reason why a lot of people have balked on getting on the Ron Paul Express. Most feel is that, even though Dr. Paul is right…when we invaded Iraq in 2003…we broke it, and whether we should be there or not, because we broke it, to some degree “we own it” and have a responsibility to figure out a way of leaving in a responsible and compassionate fashion. The idea of simply getting up and leaving makes a lot of people shudder. The thought of just dropping everything and leaving the now broken Iraqi people left holding the bag, vulnerable to Al-Queda terrorists still in their country, and victims of the warring tribal factions (Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds), does not sit well with a lot of the people I talk to. It is “critical” that Dr. Paul comes up with a more realistic comprehensive answer to the Iraq War question, and one that shows that he plans to leave Iraq in a responsible fashion, that takes into consideration the situation it leaves the Iraqi people in afterwards. I think once he explains his withdrawal strategy with more clarity…we’ll see a flood of “uncommitted” voters joining the Paulite troops almost over night! This one issue alone is killing his campaign…he needs to fix it."

This one issue alone is killing his campaign…he needs to fix it.”

Salaam, there is very little or nothing in the Pakistani news-media, print or TV, on the Ron Paul Revolution, and the freedom-movement. I had sent e-mails to journalists and columnists about this aspect. Also that most news published is usually from Reuters or AFP, both of them ignore Ron Paul. It appears that the influence of money-men and CFR extends to Pakistan, as does the Neo-Con influence. For an understanding of the situation please read Prof.Michel Chossudovsky of Global Research Institute, Canada, specially his article "Destabilization of Pakistan", also part two, at
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=7705 There is a nexus between the war-mongers in the U$A and the military command structure in Pakistan. Ron Paul is the natural ally of all peace loving folks in India, Pakistan, Middle-East, and the whole world. The policy of live and let live is so fair. With best wishes to all Ron Paul volunteers.
Salaam, Najam

Your website inspires me! I live on the New Hampshire State Border. There are endless Ron Paul signs EVERYWHERE. There is talk everywhere about him; artists, business owners, parents, teachers, conservatives, liberals. There is also a lot of talk of the VERY EVIDENT VOTER FRAUD that took place in NH. Ballot boxes were swapped out, reports of votes were changed, the voting machines were rigged. Every independent poll puts Ron Paul ahead in a 'landslide.' It makes sense - he is smart and experienced and his message is peace, prosperity and FREEDOM for ALL. There is also a lot of talk of the global support for Ron Paul. We are listening and you are juicing things up even more!! We are in a global struggle toward peace. Americans are very concerned about the loss of lives at the hands of the US government, that NO LONGER REPRESENTS the American people. We are worried about civilian casualties all over the world. We came to America from all over the world, and so it hurts when people in the 'old country' are being hurt by a government that is stealing from us all. Whatever happens, people are waking up and wanting freedom!

On January 17th 2008 the world will see the will of the American people when the moneynuke will launch Ron Paul to the nomination of the Republican party. Please urge your American friends to vote for Ron Paul. The timing is perfect, the first primary results are known and people will know it is now or never to get control back over the country. Dr. Paul can then use the money for a last-minute tidalwave of advertisements throughout the whole country before February 5th.

If Ron Paul is for peace and for pulling out from over a hundred military bases all over the world and for reducing a mammoth and unsustainable defence budget, then I am for him. This does look and feel like a movement.

The majority of Christians who oppose the war in America are liberal Christians. The conservative Christians--most of them--are not deep thinkers. They don't even want to think about just war theory. They fall for Huck because he has gospel talk. It's really a sad situation here in America when believers do not understand concepts like rule of law, habeas corpus, and what is just war.

Ron Paul is amazing--almost too good to be true. The key is: Ora et Labora...Work and Pray!! Thanks for the nice site.

Point of view from Australia: Ron Paul is the biggest hope we have here in Australia of getting back our lost liberties.
Somebody said it's not Democrats versus Republicans, it's Globalist Fascism versus Ron Paul.

Well that's what our democracy in Australia has turned into: a choice between two major parties, each of which is virtually identical, who debauch the currency, confiscate our incomes, indulge in foreign military adventures, illegalise earning a living in a thousand ways, and now they want to tell us what kind of light-globe we can put in our own homes, and how to sort the garbage!

Reply to Mr Dogg:

Thanks for the comment. I assume you would say there would be nothing untoward in US constitutional law if Laura Bush, as the spouse of a sitting two-term President, happened to be a candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election. If so, could the sitting President also campaign for her?

The Ron Paul movement is definitely growing. We go to the weekly Ron Paul meetups in Asheville. We got to hear Ron Paul speak in Greenville, SC and plan to go the next time he comes to SC. I have to say, however, that this is going to be a very tough battle. Americans are very quickly losing their constitutional rights and I really wouldn't be surprised if Bush declared some executive order to declare martial law and suspend all constitutional rights altogether. I just watched the Naomi Wolf talk she gave about the End of America and it is truly frightening. We hope the citizenry will wake up before it is too late. We need all the support from around the globe that we can get. And as far as the first commenter, who said that Mr Giuliani was the candidate America is for, well , if that happens, will some country take in a family of 4 as political refugees?? Really, I am that worried ( but hopeful, with Ron Paul running). And if anyone gets a chance, look up the Naomi Wolf talk on you tube. And pray for us--- America is in for a very bumpy ride. Thanks!

My vision is that with the leadership of Ron Paul this country moves in a direction to restore the initial intent and views of the founding fathers. We are sovereign, other countries are sovereign and most importantly--we are free. Free to study, to trade, to keep our private lives private and to design our own destiny without interference. It's quite simple.

No nation building. No imposing our own views on other nations. No needless wars. No more fear tactics and BS from our government or others. America is truly something special--and we're still an experiment, by all long-standing historical accounts. If Ron Paul or someone very much like him is not elected very soon, this experiment will have failed and any positive, peaceful influence we could have had on the world is finished.

We are so close to being a typical society that it's very disturbing, yet very motivating, at least to me and other Ron Paul supporters. We are still a long shot, and need all the support we can get--please, please help. A changed America will benefit the entire world, not just Americans. No more needless escalations, no more BS, no more status quo. If America goes down, it is the loss of a dream of liberty and prosperity not just for us, but for many others, in many other countries who believed in us for many years.

This campaign aims to end our government's meddling and apathy, as Thomas Jefferson said "Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government." We have been ill-informed for too long. Enough.

Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. -- Thomas Jefferson

If we unite under this common goal, we can re-affirm our initial goals.

I believe, we in the United States, as a country, are beyond being represented by either our government or elections. The only way our country can change its system now is for the people to go to the streets. I expect this next election will be the last whimper from the people to call for change.
